Hi Trina,

Just been talking with Stewart White via AAFP and he mentioned your site. You sounded really interesting so just thought I would check out your site and say hello. So, ‘Hi’.

Love your blog and will be checking it out more regularly.

I work in food but also have ‘The Foodologist’ (www.foodologist.com) but work as the MD of Olga’s Fine Foods (www.olgasfinefoods.com).

Have a great day!

Regards,

George

Hey George – Thanks for the comment and loving your blog too!

Hey Nik – I don’t think the official dates have been released yet. It’s a case of keeping your eyes peeled for official confirmation on the site but a safe bet is winter – around July or August. I just checked the site: http://www.trufflefestival.com.au and the site is up and running and I’ll be sure to post news once I hear confirmation too.

Hi Trina,

My french friend and I are planning to cook a mushroom lunch this weekend. I came across your site searching for any wild mushroom stockists in sydney (ideally eastern suburbs). Do you have any recommendations for good stockists, so far I havent found any places? FYI were planning to cook mushroom galette and fried polenta with gorgonzola and of course mushrooms .

Thanks!

Hi Trina,
I’ve just come across your gorgeous blogg whilst doing research around Saffron Milk Caps.
Your blogg is fantastic!
I’m Polish and my family has been foraging for mushrooms in Belanglo and Oberon since we first arrived here in 1981, its quite a tradition with our family…not to mention that I love have they tsate!
This year I introduced my almost 6 year old to it along with my best friend and her son. She fell in love with it so much that the two of is have started our own blogg called FinSkis’s

I remember when I was younger that sometimes you could find mushrooms towards the end of winter and the start of spring with the right weather conditions.
Have you found this to be the case or is it pointless us making a trip in spring?

Thanks!
Bella :)
